Beacon Of Light

In the
midst   of
growing waves
of anger in the seas
of life, you will find a
light beaming through
your clouds of dispair ;
guiding the lost and the
lonely souls of ships to a
\       \ haven of safe harbor when  /       /
the trials and mysteries of life seem to
be at their worst.  Search out this light
and you shall find the peace
that is offered to us all freely
through "his" grace and the
love that is held out to all of
us without hesitation.   Judge
not the reason of "his" love as
it is offered without reservation
to all who seek it.   All you need
do is to accept the love as the gift
it is and live in "his" light with no
reservation. The light offered from
"his" tower can search out any lost
soul through the darkest of seas and
guide them safely to the warmth that
we all seek. Many men and women are
chosen to shine their light and to guide
those of us that need a little nudge now
and then and they too once were just as
lost as us.   I know this as I have read the
works of one of those shining beacons here
in the pages of Passions and  I have learned
much from him. This little freeverse is for me
to publicly acknowledge this man and to thank
him for all he does so wonderfully.  He may not
always be direct in his words but they never fall
end to the silence of deaf ears and I thank him for
him and his way of lighting the way to the peaceful
knowledge that all we must do is accept this beacon
just as he has.  Lighthouse Bob I thank you and may
you always find the blessings of God at your side daily.

Mark, this is a magnificent poetic work of art! The imagery and most of all the words that say so much truth and wisdom are astounding! It literally took my breath away. Wow!    Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Deb-Thank you much my friend and you know how much your words mean to me.  You yourself have brought so much inspiration to me in so many ways that I will forever be thankful for your blessings.

Ellie-Thank you dearly.  I am glad that you enjoyed it and I have to admit that I enjoyed putting it together for a man who has shown and taught me much just in his works here in Passions.  I just wanted to let him know that his dedication IS noticed.

Bonnie-Thank you very much.  The sentiment is well deserved by him as he inspires in all he does.  I am glad you enjoyed it.

~*~ Mark ~*~

Sorry, it took so long to respond.  I thought that I was prepaired to read your poetry dedicated to not only me but to all the Lighthouses when I was struck by the excellencey of your talent even before I could get to the words.  After letting my wife read, regrouping to respond... I believe that I can most humbly accept your words into my life.  I don't believe that I have ever received a better acknowledgement in my life
than that of being an encourager to others.  There truly is nothing that I would rather be than a Light to help someone along their way.  It is very difficult to respond when your life's dream is staring you right in the face.  (You sneak.... you knew all along what you were doing when you promised to be back when given enough time.  You sneak...) You have painted a beautiful picture of me and so many others who love the Lord, my friend, and I will continue to give myself to the call upon my life to follow and to lead others to the Glorious Light.  I do cherish your kind words very very much. Thank you and God Bless You, Bob <><

Bob...Mark is a sneaky devil indeed...he wends and winds his way into ANY heart...and stays like a long lost friend...

Mark...you can never leave...you shall always be a part of what passion should mean...and Passions will always need you as the Rock that you are...

God will work His ways...you'll see....

Virginia-Thank you much for the visit and now that you know where to find SJ then maybe we can see some of your works find a home here.

Bob-I am more than elated to know that you enjoyed this piece from me and that you are able to accept it.  Nothing was said in it that you didn't earn my friend and I hope you realize that.  To know that you shared it with your wife also pleases me as I am sure she knows of your dedication to God and lives it with you daily.  Thank you my friend for all you do and don't ever stop.

Karilea-Thank you much my friend and I don't think I could ever leave for a long period of time.  I find too much pleasure within these walls and even if it is to read only, then I am the better for it.

Martie-My dear friend, it means so much to me that you would come in here to SJ and share this tribute to a man so deserving of it.  Drop a verse and some replies in here occasionally and you too will find it a very comforting part of Passions.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Mark,
I don't know  how you do it, but your tribute here his a masterful piece of art. It was very nice of you to pay such a nice tribute to The Lighthouse man-whom we have come to know and love.  I hope also to get better acquainted with you and your works too.

What a tribute! This is breathtakingly beautiful. Makes me wish I knew your friend. It is the desire of every Christian to be a light unto the world, and your poetry and artistry have brightened the day of a sister who really needed it!! Thank you.

MarkB~
My friend, my friend -
This not only showcases your talent,
it reflects a well-deserved light on a man
who serves God through his encouragement
for others to do the same.

You know I've printed this one out and it hangs on the wall.
Thank you, MarkB~
Thank you, LightHouseBob.
Each of you a beacon in your own way.
