Feelings awash
in confusion
and
disillusionment.

A walk through
a forest.

I have tred
this same path
for many years,
still it is
unfamiliar.
Will I never
know it well?
Never do I feel safe,
lies are everywhere.

But there is finally
a meadow,
here inside of me.

For my peace
must come
from within,
where Jesus and I
dwell in harmony.

My reality
is too harsh,
and filled with
feelings
of anger and
resentment.
Feelings I surrender
to my Lord.

How to Love
the unlovable.

Only Your Grace
within
can do such a thing.

Troubled within? It is hard to walk away from adversity, but this is our christian duty. Be strong. Lovely poem and a great way of relief.

Ellie,
Many will say peace, peace and find not peace, they are looking for external sources for their peace. True and lasting peace comes from within and and helps us to weather the external storms about us. Beautiful poem pointing to the true source of Peace.

Dear Ellie,
You speak with such warmth & wisdom. A mature view of danger and the calm in the eye of the storm- because the Storm Calmer has a constance Residence with our hearts if we are willing to let Him in. How comforting these truths are, and how precious!

ellie~ this brings tears to my eyes. I can relate so well. I know these feelings to the core of my heart. God is our refuge, we have to learn to stay on that path that leads to him. It's not always easy. I know.
Hugs,
Deb
