Remember the anxiety
Over Y2K?
"The world's coming to an end"
That's what they would say
But now as as we end this year
The world is much the same!

Y2K plus one,
It's coming everyone
And in it may we see,
God's goodness, full and free!

Y2k plus one,
In our new millenium
Another year of time,
May perhaps be mine.

Y2K plus one,
Will this be the year of "the SON"?
Will He return in Righteousness
And shall we be among the blessed?

Y2K plus one,
God's saving Grace ne'er shun
But in His mercy shine,
Right now and for all time.

Y2K plus one,
Who knows what else will come?
But with our faith in God,
E'en this we'll safely trod.

Y2K plus one,
And when it too, is done
May we reflect and say,
Thank You God for each new day!

Dear David; Amen! Your lovely poem filled with hope and the promise of a Christ filled New Year, is a precious gift. I so love your faith and deep love of God. Ellie

Whew... Does this ever bring back dooms day memories of computer systems shutting down, stored water in the bathtub, fears of life as we know it all coming to an abrubt end.... it sure seems foolish looking back on it all.  It goes to show where we need to put our trust.... In God.  Here is the last stanza from a peom that I wrote this time last year....

The Focus of our Millennium
is on two-thousand years have past...
And this birthday of Christianity proves a life
focused on Jesus Christ shall last.

God Bless You my Brother in the Lord,  Bob <><

Does this ever bring back memories of last year.

The Word is like tomorrows newspaper. Great poem David, full of hope and a gentle reminder where to lay our trust.

I know not what the future holds,
but I know Who holds the future.

I don't question YOUR existance - GOD
