~This Silent Night~

Sleepless stars, across the silent night
contemplate with twinkling eye's the gift bestowed below
where Christmas trees bare no gifts of love
angel wings drip sorrowful tears
as songs of hope are whispered near
one gift of love, sent from above
wrapped in holiness, and unconditional love
one star shines bright,
this silent night

This is quite a variation on the Silent Night theme, with added detail, and from an alternate perspective-which gives pause for further reflection. Interesting! Thanks for sharing it with us.

A beautiful contrast of modern day Christmas to shine some light on the humble meaning that "Unto us a Child was born."  God Bless You and I hope that you found many  gifts of love under your tree.  Love in Christ, Bob <><
