Gentle palms lay upon Christmas
Can you hear the silence in the night?
Except for the carolers singing
outside steeples of holy rite

Can you feel the touch of love?
deep within chords of their hearts
painting this day with a manger of hay
and a star we have never forgot

The miracle of the night began
with the star of Bethlehem
shepherds tending their flock
  an angel had guided them

Blessed palms lay upon our souls
as the halo of Christmas burns bright
remembering the nativity
embrace the festivity
the birth of Jesus Christ

This reads like a beautiful Christmas carol. Lovely and joyful.  ellie

It's amazing how we can write of this event over and over, and always give a different outlook, a different feeling.

This is beautifully done!
