I've spent too many
years,
in a panic over
Christmas.
For in the past,
my brain was frantic,
at all that needed
to be done,,
Shopping, cooking,
decorating,
fearful, would they
like their gifts?

My own personal
Martha Stewart hell!

Oh, the peace
that now I have
as Jesus is in
charge!
For once I surrendered
life and will,
His gifts they
never end.

Christmas now is
joy to me.
I do only what
feels right.
I know my limitations,
before all was only
stress.

Christmas now
is not in stores,
or frantic, sad
perfection.

Christmas is here,
right in my heart,
where His love is,
all year round!

Belief is a truth held in the mind; faith is a fire in the heart.

Dear Ellie,
I don't know if I inspired you, or repulsed you, by my comical poem about the holiday shopping craze I posted in the pub,  but this one is a beautiful statement of true spiritual evolution from immature materialism to seasoned spirituality on that Spiritual Journey you've chose. Very well put-and it makes the Holidays soooo much more enjoyable --doesn't it!!!

You certainly have your heart in the right place to get the most from this most precious time of year when we acknowlge the birth of our Lord and Savior.  Thank you for the reminder to not get caught up in all the commotion of the holiday season.

Ellie you're not the only this has happened to. It's become such a commercialized thing.

We tend to forget the true meaning of the season in all the gift buying and all.

One of my favorite sayings is: Keep CHRIST in CHRISTmas.

I know you'll have a peaceful one this year!

I know not what the future holds,
but I know Who holds the future.

I don't question YOUR existance - GOD
