The High Priestess

He came to me in a dream
Stood behind me with a touch so gentle
Whispered in my ear
Who is the High Priestess?

Knowledge dark and sacred
Rarely seen
Only those who dare
Tread the darkness of their own soul
Shall the High Priestess know

For her wisdom is true
Dark depths within
A sparkling of shadowlight
On this night
Only the chosen know
Who the High Priestess is

Your poem here with it's inquiry is intriguing- but I'm afraid I didn't understand the poem- or fail to know how to answer it--maybe you can shed some further insight.  David

The first three lines of them poem are from a dream I had.  The rest just flowed as I wrote.  I guess comtemplation of the dream and knowledge of the subconcious.  Thanks for your reply David.

Stacy...I loved this much, and I felt it portrayed the feminine face of god in a refreshing manner.

Thank you Whtdove for taking the time to welcome me.
Thank you Serenity and Dennis for the comments and welcome.
That's so cool that you got that from my poem
I changed it though and posted in critic section.
Trying to improve my writing you know.
I hope I did not lose the veil of mystery or the impression of the femine face of God
Maybe ya'll could help me figure out which one reads better if ya'll get the time
Hey did you write that verse at the bottom of your page Dennis
If so I like it alot.

Stacey

Stacey,
I like the verse seperation in CA but I like this version better, You have asked a question, and have answered by saying "only the chosen know", although not a complete answer it closes the question/answer loop.
My signature Haiku was written by me, thanks for your kind words.

Welcome Stacey; I like the mystery and the wonderment here also.  Keep writing! Ellie

I have found the Wisdom of God as reference in the feminine in the book of Proverbs to be a High Priestress in my own life.  Thank you for sharing.  Bob <><
