Where blue skies meet blue ocean

0 posted 2000-11-11 10:27 AM

Do not shed a tear of sorrow while standing over me
I've gone home to walk along the shores of Galilee

What you see is me no more, my soul has taken flight
To journey towards the warming glow of God's eternal light

I hear the chorus of angel's voices singing to welcome me
As I step up to the Pearly Gates what a wondrous sight I see

Friends I've lost many years before are gathered by the way
Such emotion I'm feeling now, I can think of no words to say

The love I feel inside my soul takes away all the earthly pain
I've reached my home, I'm here to stay, this is where I shall remain

I feel a touch upon my cheek, so gentle is it's caress
I hear a voice whisper in my ear, My Child, it's time to rest

I feel the warmth of the Father's arms as I sit down by his side
It was him who held me close so many times when I cried

All that remains of my time are the memories my family holds dear
With these kept close to your heart you will always find me dear

Let the sorrow you are feeling be replaced by the Father's love
For I'm sitting by his side in heaven watching over you from above

What comforting words and a good perspective you put on a subject which we often see only the negatives.  For the Child of God- Death truly can be a blessing (Revelation 14:13).

Ah, this is said very well indeed. Giving a bit of comfort to anyone who has experienced the death of a friend or loved one. Helping ease a little of their grief and fear.
Very, very well done.

For Christians, death is a happening of which to look forward.  Bob <><
