I sit and write a line or two
Just in order to remember you.
It is my release – it’s how I recover.
A moment of solace to remember my mother.

The earth gives us a pretty flower.
Then recycles what it devours.
The scion will survive.
This little life remains alive.

I had no choice on that day.
GOD did have his say.
Your earthly life ceased to be,
But is it for all eternity?

As we travel through this life,
We meet joy. We meet strife.
I’ll meet you after My earthly journey.
Until then, you Live in my memory.

Melton, Do you know how special this poem is to me today, this very special day, this very special poem?

Sometimes God sends us bouquets or words by friends to show His love to us.Sometimes He just blesses us with His warmth, His presence, but I believe I have never found as much comfort in a poem before, as these words you write. My-my, what a blessing to receive a personal poem on this one day of 365, you come to Spirituals and post this, my bouquet, your poem.  Thank you for being led of Him. Your words are now a treasure from God to me. Thank you my brother in Christ Jesus...Thank You, my Saviour. Marcy

Melton, this is beautiful. And Marcy, God moves in mysterious ways. He must have known you needed to read this today.

Melton,
Your poem is very special. I lost my father in 1983, so I understand the pain and loss you feel. The beauty is in knowing our father in heaven made a way for us to share for all eternity, a time with those we know and love.

Marcy, Poet deV, Deb,
I lost my mother 3/3/99. The pain is gone, but her memory will last forever.
Take care,
Melton

Melton this is beautiful.  My parents are both gone, and how wonderful it is to know that one day we will be together again.... Until then, I know they're around.  Bonnie

Melton,
This is a beautiful loving Memorial and tribute- a reflection on her son, which also go to speak more highly of her than your words reveal.  I think it is a lovely poem-
God bless you to be often blessed with her memory.   David

WOW- another day of life-and here among friends!

Ellie,
Bonnie,
David,
Star,
Thank you all for your kind words. I am honored. I was inspired to post, due to Marcy’s wonderful tribute to her mother with “Fear of Dying-“.
