L ord, You seem so far away in
E verything we do.
Always going our own way; never
P raying for your will

O nly you can help us
F ind our way throughout life's turns.

F ighting our battles;
A nswering our calls;
I f only we would listen, and
T rust Your loving,
H ealing hands.

Dear Sheila: Beautifully done acrostic. That is surely what it takes too, a leap of faith.
Thank you! Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Sheila Welcome!

Great acrostic! I love the message it carries as well! So true, we do need to stop and listen!

Great poem about leap
i wish i could leap
but i am already dead
when i attempted to leap
i fell into a lagoon
straight to hell
no turning back
i have returned to my vomit
i wanted to look back
and i turned into a statue of salt
i am like an empty can full of rocks
forgive me for rolling
but your poem got me going

...thought I'd  write you a little poem in reply...

GOD OF GRACE

G reat are Your healing hands,
O h, God of Love and Forgiveness,
D oing Your perfect will in my life...

O nly I took that first "Leap of
F aith" and You made my life Yours

G uiding my footsteps thereafter,
R edeeming my soul from Hell,
A nd promising me Eternal Life,
C hrist the Savior of my soul
E xalted above all creation.

LighthouseBob,

What a wonderful reply!! And amazing what a God of grace he is when we take that leap of faith! I am ashamed that I don't let Him lead me the way I should...

Thank you, everyone, for such undeserved praise. If I may, ask for your prayer, for stregnth to live my life with leaps of faith; I fail so often.  God bless you all.

So very nicely written, and it sounds like you're already doing what it takes to follow our Lord, that is, yearning to do it.  We all fail, but that's the beauty of having Christian friends to lift, forgive and inspire us so we get back on track.  this forum is a family of such friends.  Rae
