Wisdom Of A Child
~*Marge Tindal*~

Deep in concentration
of things we didn't think he understood.
The thinking taking place
in the mind of his childhood.

Trying to sort out the answers
while not even knowing,
the questions life would present
in his years of growing.

Wise beyond his years,
as he turned to us and said,
"I talk to Jesus everyday,
so I know He is not dead."

"They may have nailed Him to the cross
placed thorns upon His head,
but Jesus' Father raised Him
up from the dead."

"They may not let him in my school,
but there's something they don't know.
I take Jesus to school in my heart
and they have to let ME go !"

"I know inside my heart
He lives for me today.
He lives ! He lives !
Now I'm going out to play !"

We stood at the window
and watched this boy of ten.
Amazed at his wisdom
with Jesus as his friend.

Dear Marge; "And a child shall lead us". I love this Marge. They have so much to teach us, if we will but listen! Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

This paints a clear picture of what it means to have a child like faith...  It is of great faith and comfort to know that Jesus is with us wherever we go.  Thank you for sharing this Wisdom Of A Child with us, Bob <><

This is wonderful.

It is the child in us who stops to listen to
the whispers of our heart.

Didn't Elijah search for God in the blowing wind and eartquakes, but found he was in the whisper?

Children have the gift of knowing that...we have to relearn it.

Ellie~
The child shall speak the truth as they know it ...
We need to make sure they have a voice.

Marcy~
I think it would astonish a lot of us to know
how many children know this truth today.

LightHouseBob~
If only the children of faith had their way -
God would again be in the schools everyday.

Vicky~
Yes - we need to see that God can be where they are.

Jeen~
Children are so lovingly wise.
We need to remember that and give them credit for telling it so honestly.

Indeed Marge, indeed.  The innocence, wonder and truth in the children's hearts truly does need to be heard, as adults we can learn so very much from them.  Great poem.  Bonnie

Bonnie~
They have such innocent wisdom to share -
we simply need to listen.

Thank you for your comments, my friend.

Marge~ Your words are filled with wisdom as well. The insight of an innocent 10 year old is one of trust with no worldly reason to believe otherwise. Oh, to have the mind of a child! Simple trust, thats what we need.
Thanks for writing this.

BloomingRose~
This little piece was inspired by
the comments of a 10 year old son of a
couple from my church.

Our youth groups are Lamplighters for His path.
They are the innocent carriers of His word.
Thanks for the reply.

The innocent wisdom of a child holds much for us to learn from.  If only we could go back so easily and see as we did when we were a child long before the doubts were able to settle in from the weakness that we all carry.  I think that you have touched on why the strength of a child is so much more intense than that of an adult.  Beautiful write my friend.  Hugs to you and much love from this friend.

MarkB~
I think the innocence of children's thinking
is so refreshing.
Long before their minds are cluttered with grown-up things ...
we learn so much from their free-thinking.
Too bad it gets stifled somewhere along the way.

Denise~
Thank you dear lady.
