the Lord walks
by my side
no need for me
to try and hide
He holds my hand
serving as my guide
traveling the land
smooth as the tide
I pledge my faith
and in His word abide
He will take me
high as the eagles glide
on His love's wings
I will forever ride
for they stretch far
reaching infinitely wide

I love waking up to inspiration like this!Your glorious poem has set the perfect tone for my day. Thank you. Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

inspiring, expressive, imaginative.

i think that adding a period after the word "glide," or capitalizing the word "on" in the next line, would make the poem easier to understand.

As an eagle protects her young, those infinitely wide wings of God's Love will certainly keep us safe during our times of danger.  I love the correlation that you make between God and the eagle.  This is very promising indeed. God Bless You, Bob <><
