How real are all
the love songs,
and poems of romance?
Are they all illusions,
like the fading mists,
that dissapears
with morning light.
Feelings of passionate
desire,
are lost in everydays
routine.
Then returns the endless
emptiness,
of feeling unloved,
or,
continuous doubts and fears
toward the  beloved.
Are we ever really sure
of anothers love,
as being true?
Like a whirlpool in the sea,
we are sucked down by the pull,
of neediness and longing
to be loved.
Unless....
We look towards the light.
For the only answer
to this age old quest,
is whether we love.
Can we in our human fraility,
truly love another?
No, we cannot.
For untill we have surrendered
the whirlpool of our human desires,
and endless seeking to be loved,
surrender all our needs and fears,
to our God, who never fails us,
then we are given the Grace,
and the power to love,
for love's sake alone.

So it is not how well we are loved,
but by His Grace, how well we love.

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

And all the freedom of love and all the answers do lie within our being able to accept what we already know to be true.....the love of Christ and his love for us.  Wonderful verse.

Ellie,
What a high & holy perpective you give us here and beautifully bring it in focus. Love does make all the difference in the world-not ours, but First His, and then loving Him supreme  we  receive of His enabling Grace to Love others, knowing truly we are loved ourselves.  WoW! What a powerful dynamic for our lives! And Sister, you hit a bullseye  with this one for you are right on target

It truly is a blessing to have God's Love flowing through our lives.  I do believe what you have written about love in that we can focus too much on ourselves rather than sharing our love with others.  Love is what so many in our world need today.  When I look at world conditions, it is easy for me to understand why God made Love His first commandment.  Love in Christ, Bob <><

Mom...I can only pray that some day I will be able to do all of that..Your prayers have kept me alive my whole life...Now I need them so that I can learn how to Love.

Ellie, how often I've thought these thoughts!  Love, without God first, is merely selfsatisfaction sought, or the hope of another to love us.  You've said it so well in such a beautiful verse.  Thank you.

Ellie~ You have said it well. Unless we look towards the light we will never be complete.
For the love of Christ is the only love that can truly fill us when we are empty inside. It's not a love we can comprehend, but it's there, and we feel it when we seek him first.
