What Spirit have You given me
Which helps set me apart,
From the unbelieving world
With cold, darkened hearts?

What nobler emotions
What Consecrated ways,
That serve Your Holy Purposes
And guides me all my days?

In Your Word You tell me
Lest the inferior be taken,
And I miss such Blessedness
And Your way be forsaken.

The Spirit of Timidity
Nor of Outright Fear,
Are those You never give
If You Alone, I hear.

But rather, Love is your Gift
And a Sound Mind, too,
Which also gives me Power
I what is done for You.

Thus I praise You here today
O Benefactor Divine,
For Perfect Gifts sent from above
My being to refine!

Thank You for Your perfect Care
Your Grace which gives a lift,
To one so needing of Your Love
I humbly accept Your Gifts!

WOW- another day of life-and here among friends!
Ain't God Grand!

I always believed God existed, but not that He loved me personally for many years.  Since believing this, I often think of those who don't yet know and feel so humbled to be graced with such knowledge, bringing peace,  security, and the church family into existance.  Thank you for this writing reminding us of the grace He's bestowed on us.

Dear David; You have created another masterpiece of praise and Glory to our Father. The clear message of His Grace refining us in His fires of Love, is always needed on a daily basis. Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

I'm happy to see you post again! This an excellent poem David! All good things come from Above, and that's what brought this to mind...He shall not give the spirit of fear, nor does he put burdens upon us. He is not the author of confusion.

As well you delicately portrayed his wonderful GRACE!
