Autumn is descending
upon the memory
of summers warm embrace.
Trees shedding their
splendor.

Our God gently peels
away,
all the layers
of our worldliness.

Winter enfolds
the bareness,
with her robes of white.
So God enfolds us
in His healing Grace.

We all then stand before
His throne,
barren of all but His
cloak of Love.

Hidden deep within the
earth,
is ever the promise of
spring,
and deep within our souls,
His Grace gives promise
of His new creation.
Surely as spring bursts
forth,
in radiant splendor,
so we are reborn
in His Love.
Our souls are His
eternal promise of spring!

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Dear Ellie,
How clearly you are able to see in the things of this physical world, the Spiritual realities  of the Grace and eternal workings & desires of our God!  What a vision of loveliness-what an inspiring message of hope for needy humanity!   David

WOW- another day of life-and here among friends!
Ain't God Grand!

Ellie~
What a beautiful truth you pen -

'Our God gently peels
away,
all the layers
of our worldliness.'

Indeed He does.
And then so gently clothes us in the
light of today's promises.

Ellie, this is quite lovely, but I hope that He will show me a wonderful sense of humor and allow me to feel the cold so that I can truly appreciate all of the springs...

Ellie this is a work of art! Beautifully penned! I don't know what to say, I really don't. I'm left in awe at beauty of this poem! The gentleness of it, the flow of it, and all it's grace.
