I walk out in the night……...alone here with my fright
I don’t know if I’ll make it too

I look up to the sky………….. Alone I wonder why
What it was they did…… to you

The veils are falling from my eyes…….listening to your cries
These things are filling up my head

Pain is all I feel inside……….I wanna take myself and hide
All those stupid words they said

When I drift out on my own………wanting to return home
I know its love that's gonna get me through

So take my thoughtless heart……….I know it’s torn apart
But it’s all that I can offer you

The sky’s looking kinda black……..I see it looking back
But there’s a new horizon born

The fog is lifting from my eye…….it’s from the tears I cry
For us there is a brand new dawn

Jon, your mother will treasure this...you did not expound on the things that have taken place, but your poem precedes it as being something joyous...

my best to both of you...

Jon; Thank God for this transformaion and wonderful blessing! Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Jon, this is so beautifully written. It shows both fear and hope.
"so I take my thoughtless heart....I know it's torn apart, but it's all I can offer you"
This reminds me of a song... come unto to me all ye who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest...
Just a few words to the song.
The heart is all we need to offer Christ, he can fix a wounded heart.
My mom lost my dad in 1983 in a very tragic way. It was devastating to her also.
Prayers going up for your mom, give her a hug for me.

I join in your praise and joy of where you and your mum are Today... It is such a release in the spirit to come through hard oppression to a place of spiritual freedom and realization in Christ.  God Bless You and your Mum,  Bob <><

Full of love this piece was penned
To the Lord my prayers I'll send
For comfort from the Lord above
May He send his peace and love.

This was a wonderful poem! I'm glad to hear things are taking a wonderous change for her.
It's hard to lose someone. God bless you both!  Thank you for sharing what touched your heart!   It touched mine.

Jon~
I found a soft little melody to this piece.
Very nicely done ... I would think your Mum will like it.
I wish her much happiness.

What a touching piece!  My own Mom knew of the Lord, but didn't know Him, in spite of my years of trying so hard to help her understand.  Just before she died, the dawn came.  How relieved we both were, so I can relate to your words very well.  Thank you.
