A September frost laid on the earth
As I walked down the sheltered lane,
Sunlight filtered through blushing trees,
As I silently called Your name.
Surrounded by scarlet and burnished gold,
You stood there waiting for me,
Hand in hand we slowly walked,
To where still waters would be.
Reaching the edge of the tranquil lake,
Together we started to pray,
You filled me with a glorious warmth,
And You took my burdens away.
Deep blue skies with downy white clouds,
Reflections of scenes from above,
Shown clearly on the calm water,
Led off by the wings of a dove.
Majestic snow-capped mountains,
Covered with trees in autumn's blaze,
Were the background of this painting,
Colors muted by jack's frosty glaze.
White swans slipped into this picture,
As did a mother deer and her fawn,
All of nature came alive,
On this late September dawn.
Together we turned and started back,
A smile on Your dear face,
With a gentle hug You said goodbye,
And touched my heart with Your grace.

Your poetry is so beautiful!  I love the scenes you paint here and the faith that runs deep through them.  Just wonderful!

Oh, dear Bonnie; how gloriously you write!
I always have such peaceful feelings inside when I read one of your masterpieces of inspiration. Thank you dear friend. Love, Ellie

Bonnie~
What comforting thoughts ...
to walk the way with a friend such as God
is to see true beauty from within.

I hold these thoughts close to my heart.
Thank you for sharing, dear lady.

Another awesome work, Bonnie. Your imagery lifts the words into a panaramic picture of beauty.  It's evident you're walking with the Lord.  Bless you.

Such glorious walks you have with nature and the Creator of all of which you so splendidly
express.  When I read your poems, I feel as if I have taken a nature walk in Heaven.  Your words fill my thoughts with images of such wonderous beauty that I never want to come home... Thank you for another Heavenly adventure on earth, Bob <><

I never reach a mundane moment with you Bonnie. Everything is new, and vivid each time I open your work. There's always an awesome message, with such a beautiful picture to go along with it.

You really help me greatly to see so much beauty through your eyes, and thankfulness as well.
