Gained Innocence

He stands at the door where lovers meet
Among candles glow satin white sheets
In anticipation of innocence lost
In sin beyond measure and wage beyond cost.

Recompense for passions of love to seek
With eyes of a child and heart for the meek
Looks away from his desire reading her face
And offers his hand to the one who needs Grace.

They prayed until morn as passions did rise
For the presence of Jesus shone deep in her eyes
While this moment in time they walked hand in hand
When Love of the Father from boy grew a man.

I agree this is OUTSTANDING!!  Am I emotional? I don't know, but this brought stinging tears to my eyes!

I would love to put this on my site if you don't mind?

Sunshine,

Thank You... Thank you for your kind words of appreciation, and I will add to them and send them on to our Father.  As long as He gives me poems to write and souls who are touched by them, I'll just keep my little fingers punching keys.  He is our Love, Faith and Hope and the source of our inspiration.  Bless Your Kind Words and God Bless You, Bob <><

David,

Yes, we do face decissions everyday as to who we will serve... "God or self"... and the decissions that we make do have Eternal consiquences.  The more that we decide to do God's will, the more that we grow in Christian maturity.  This was a tremendous triumph for sure... especially, I feel, for the male gender.  God Bless You, Bob <><

Wow!  This is definitely a piece so needed in our young Christian society.  I would like permission to give copies to my teenaged grandchildren.  You certainly made the point in this extremely well written piece.  Thank you.

A Sandgrain,

Yes you have my permission, I Love sharing with young people the opportunities of living for Christ as a better alternative to the promiscuous behaviors that much of our society today promotes to our youth. Thank you for your willingness to reach out to new and future generations of Christians. Love in Christ, Bob <><

White Dove,

I am looking forward to being a part of your poetry Web Page community. Thanks Again, Bob <><
