Empty Vessel

Such it is, then,
the drought of the soul
when feeling old
and dry

one forgets that the
cracks in the vessel
must have watered
life on the way to the
here and now

so do not pain me
and do not cry out
that the mind is
empty of words
for the moment
as there is always a
chance that
rumination will cause
the required rumble
of words to well
forth,

should they
have purpose,
and with the
utmost hope that
they would then
most certainly
belong.

No, do not cry
for an
empty vessel.

I liked this alot.  Writing is quite a process as you have explained nicely.  If we can just get "ruminatory" our pots (vessels) will surly be full and if we have a few extra cracks... that's OK.  Nicely done.  Bob <><

Karilea~
Through the cracks in our vessels ...
many lovely flowers grow.
Beautiful, sweet poet.

Dear Karilea: How beautiful! The cracks to me are symbols of our humaness. Then when we are surrendered to His Grace, it pours out to others, to bless and uplift. You always manage to do just that with your lovely inspirational poetry. Thank you, Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.
