Of Birth and Death

The miricle of birth is as the mystery of  death
From the first light that awakes the eye until the final breath
The birth is no beginning, nor is death a certain end
They both flow in the  moving steam, each one a glorious bend

But the water keeps on flowing to the grand and sparkling sea
And never stops to answer questions posed by you and me
We live with just a promise that there is an end to strife
And words that fall upon our ears of everlasting life

Why is it then we question what the mind can’t undertand
For the answers lie not in the mind, nor in the heart or hand
It is from the well of true belief that flows the spring of worth
For faith in God and in His Word’s the answer here on earth

Does robin ever question why he migrates every year
Does a tulip ever wonder why it’s buried year to year
Both are part of the whole process, and both will live and die
But continue giving life and never stop to question why

Liz; This is so beautifully true, just a flowing, with no questions asked, and you've put this gentle reminder into a poem of loveliness. Thank you, Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Liz you always leave me in awe! And of course with something to think about.
I have no words, all I can do is sit in thought at what I've read
