(posted this as a reply on poetry challenge to write a poem about color.  I really enjoyed it and wanted to share it here.  Hope you all like it.)

I love the color blue,
the color of the sky in autumn's lap
and of berry clusters
tucked in sylvan fields.
How it makes a lake more splendid
to behold
How it flows amid the oceans
in their bellies,
through their veins
caressing many fish and corals
brushing shells
and oddities
with sundry shades and styles
swirling on the seaward
miles.
And lo upon the land
it's hand is not one tincture less
in skill, dexterity
or grace
bedaubing flower gardens,
warbling birds
and butterflies.
Yet of all the things I love of blue,
I love it's unique voice
that ever speaks so winsomely
of our creator
"Oh how wise!"
... And then another color cries.

Surely a rainbow of magic you have written and with you gifted pen only dipped in the blue! Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

I suppose the other colors were feeling a little BLUE... in that blue was getting all of the attention?  Very descriptively written and naturally uplifting.  God Bless, Bob <><

Hi Stephanos,
...and now, thanks to your beautiful poem, I love the color blue...even more than I did before!   Love, Marcy

ps: you know, when we get to Heaven, the colors will amaze us, I am sure. Such colors we never envisioned. Just look at the rainbow, really look, only a taste of that which is to come.  Loved your poem.
