I've seen many bumps and potholes
On the uneven Roadway of Life,
Which can cause troubles and pains
And also engender strife.
But these things don't stop me
Although they may slow me down,
For the Lord is my Co-Pilot
In Him, the right way is found.

There are curves and tunnels
And sudden bends in the Road,
Which off-guard could catch me
As I bear my given load.
The glare of this life may be present
But I travel not by my sight,
But trust my Divine Navigator
Who is leading me by Faith's Light.

I'm never alone on the journey
Unless I just choose to be,
By leaving behind my Savior
The One who's done all for me.
He's promised ne'er to forsake me
If I will abide in Him,
Together we take on life's challenge
And thus through His Victory, I win!

"GOD GIVES- but man must open his hand." (German Proverb)

Dear David: Your faith in our Lord is glorious to behold, as I know so well. In this beautifully written poem, that message is loud and clear, and sure to fill all of us with inspiration and a newness of spirit, as all of your poems do. I am grateful that I have you as a dear friend. Bless you! Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

So very true. What a blessing it is that we don't walk alone!

Beautiful statement of faith, but I must say, that by the reading of this poem,I get the impression that God is not your CO-Pilot,but your PILOT,and you allow Him to navigate you,as you humbly sit and obey Him.

yes, I do agree...God puts us in the pilot's seat, and is there for us in all emergencies and landings...
