Let me curl into your lap
Stroke my hair and let me nap
Within your nail scared hands please wrap
This torso of worn remains

Please sing to me a lul-a-bye
Upon your garmet let me cry
Give me peace of mind and soul
Within your arms please make me whole

Hold me in Your love's embrace
No other man can take Your place
When I call please come again
And please don't leave when I say amen

Oh, Marcy; How I love these words, and how many times my prayer has echoed yours here.
You are so humbly and wonderfully surrendered to His Love, and this is the only place to be. Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Dear MARCY,
This a touching and warm expression of the tender & trusting ties you have with the Lord. The images a so beautiful as you portay that reliance and nearness you seek and feel.   May your prayers be answered.

I thank each of you who stopped, read and replied. I found this little prayer is what I do when I get down on myself, or burdened and cannot seem to rid myself of it- I just crawl into His lap and let Him love me. It works too. Thanks again, Marcy

This is wonderful.. a picture of Jesus.. forbid not the little children to come unto me.. and are we ever so grownup that we can't humble ourselves to sit in the lap of Jesus? I love this poem! Peace and comfort radiates from it.. sort of like being sung a lullaby.. Well done!!

I have to agree, it struck me as a lullaby for grownups...or for very little people who have to live in the real world...

well done, my friend...

Marcy there's not much to add that's not been said already here. This is simple and ever so humble...and a great reminder of where we should stop and go.  I loved it, and the vision it gave as well!
