Take This Thing From Me Lord.....
Oh Lord,I trust in you,
and I thank you for the life you have given me.
I know what I must do.
But sometimes it is so hard
to fall upon my knees.
This burdon I have recieved
hurts so deeply,it is so heavy,
so dark.
So hard to lift up to you,to take it from my heart.
Father, my child, so innocent, and pure.
How could this happen to her.
Where were you when she cried for you,
was there anything you tried to do?
So alone and small
didnt you hear her voice call.
Tears hot and heavy on her cheeks.
She tried to fight,
so little and weak,
so scared of the night.
Her Daddy, how could he?
Oh Jesus, please take this thing from me.
Oh Lord I cry to you,
take this from her to.
Lord give her back her joy.
Give her back her beautiful spirit.
Let her not be inprisoned inside herself,
Let her pain be heard for all to hear it.
Mommy failed her,who can she believe.
Oh Lord I pray, take this thing from me.
Jesus,please...
take this thing from me.

What a powerful poem.  You are truely an amazing poet!  Your poem applies to a situation I am in myself, but I know I shouldn't worry.  God does know what he is doing up there, and all of your pain and sorrow is part of a master plan.  Just keep your chin up!
God Bless

I usually dont write poems like this.It is a very unusual one for me.I started praying this morning, and this poem came to me so quickly,I had trouble keeping up with myself.I want this poem to be a reminder, that no one is alone,no matter what satan has done to them.No matter the pain,God will be there to cradle you,if you only let Him.God has a message in this poem,I pray everyone who reads it will recieve it.Nothing is too ugly, for God to forgive you.

giget, this is a powerful message and one we all might  experience at one time or another. It is a good heart that is burdened for our brothers and sisters in a time of dispare. To know others hurt should encourage everyone that loves God, to show Jesus in us, by extending love & friendship or hope to them.  Very good reminder in poem, indeed.  Thank you, Marcy

Giget,
This is very good. You've tackled a difficult subject and epitomized the anguish perfectly.
I feel I'm among friends here so I'll tell you this, like LoveAll, this hits home for me too, not exactly, but along the same lines.
In fact, I've begun writing my poem, parts I and II are completed and I have it posted in the "Dark" forum right now. Just posted it last night. It's called Alone At Sunset.

I read this with the impression that this is not fictional and I pray for God to give the girl the strength she'll need to get to the other side of this.

God Bless,
Janie

Jesus wept....

As I read your account with words that flowed so freely as you stated, my spirit was crying for you and the precious little girl.  Sometimes it is comforting to know that not only does Jesus rejoice with us, but He cries with us as well... and when He cries, all who are connected by His Loving spirit cry with you...  You are never alone.  Bob <><
