I have just returned from a week at Youth Camp in the Sierra Mountains. Our youth group bunked in an old chapel with a stained glass window...

Christ's Image

As lantern glares
Off mystic swirls
From icy chill
Of nightfall's scorned...

At moonlight hour
With solemn prayer
As night-bird sings
Of early morn...

From mountain road
Down forest path
To secluded glade
Of chapel worn...

Up barren aisle
Past dusty pew
Toward sacred shrine
Of days forlorn...

While shadow falls
In subtle light
As a new day
Of life's reborn...

A spectra shines
On hallowed ground
From stained-glass pane
Of Christ adorned.
