I spent cold winter
nights,
lying awake,
carefully planning
the summers garden,
that I'll plant
in the spring.
Arranging the colors,
and planting the
scented ones,
to delight the
senses,
and bring beauty
for all to see.

Now, here in
deep summer,
driving along,
there on the
edge of the wood,
a profussion
of wild flowers,
colors galore.
Dear Lord,
did you spend
the winter nights
planning Your
garden too?

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Yep, and just for you Ellie, so you could see His beauty even as you're driving along... He knows the words that will evolve after you have taken a glimpse.... Breathtaking poems that fill all of our lives with some of your beauty.  Bonnie

Ellie,
Our gardens can not compare to the ones planted by our Father, and HE did'nt even loose any sleep over it! We may assemble a wonderful collection of colors and scents to please our sense of beauty, but HE created it all and continues to bless us with such beauty. Beautiful poem.

How could God's
colors not stand
when indeed they
are even part of
the plan?

Well done, Ellie!

This one is kinda neat, Ellie- we identify with God in various ways- but here you've found wonderful connection with Him as Two prize Gardeners!  Wonderful thought!   David
