Lord, where are You?
I am dying on the inside.
Lonely and afraid.
Eyes swollen and red.
My soul is so tired.
Confusion has consumed me.
"What a prayer warrior you are", they say.
Lord this once warrior is weary, tired of the battle.
I sit in the light of day,
Yet darkness surrounds me.
"The gift of prophecy you have", they say.
Yet I can't even see how to go on.
I am frightened Lord.
Fighting the thoughts I have.
Wondering where my resting place will be.
Would You still recieve me?
Would my baby girl remember me?
I long for final sleep.
Eternal peace.
Lord I'm so very tired.
This world has become a place of torment for me.
I cannot think clearly.
And I sink deeper into this pit.
No one can save me now.
Have You hid Your face from me?
My spirit crys,
Begging for answers,
Pleading for hope,
Lord, where are You?

Bonnie, shortly after I wrote this I called out to Him again. He showed me cleary one giant reason I must keeping fighting the good fight of faith and not grow weary in well doing. How I do thank Him for all He does, so willingly and so loveingly.  Juls

juliet, So humbling and beautifully written.
Your response to Bonnie also stirred my heart. When we talk openly(as you have through poem) about spiritual matters, this allows Jesus to be blessed and honored when the answer comes. Just as you have honored Him with your reply to Bonnie, after crying out to Him in poem.  This is giving back to Him. You have blessed me this day. Thank you jul!

Alle you are so very kind. Our Lord is truly so wonderful. He often reminds me of the verse in His word where He say, "Be still and know that I am God". And even in the middle of our darkest moments He always there, waiting for us to sometimes get quiet enough to hear Him speak. Praise be to our Lord and Saviour, Juls

This poem reminds me so much of a psalm that perhaps King David would have written... A man after God's own heart.  From this, I must believe that You have a similar heart as David and God is truly blessed by your openess toward Him.   Bob <><

Bob when I read your reply I was so shocked. My cry to the Lord has always been,"I don't need to be known as anyone who did anything great, just as someone who was after Your heart Lord". Your words have truly blessed me Bob. Thanks be to you and thanks be to our God, Juls

LighthouseBob said what I was thinking as I read your poem. Most of us have all come to the point you were when you wrote this poem. Expressing truthfully how we feel gives opportunity for God to heal.

Septsong, I totally agree and if there,s one then the Lord has taught me its to be open and honest with Him. I mean He knows anyway but He desires for us to build our relationship with Him through our communication with Him. Be blessed my friend, Juls

Oh Majestic, I was the one touched when I read your words. I see a heart in you that truly loves our Lord. But like the rest of us, just get busy or so consumed with lifes problems that He gets put on a shelf sometimes. How patient is though. You be blessed my friend and take care, Juls

I wonder if we all haven't been in the mode you so clearly pictured in your writing, and if that isn't why we're told to lift each other up.  We're like one big therapy group here pointing in the only right direction.  Thank you for sharing this work.

When I read this it was as if written for me!
God has a way of doing that. I'm glad you cried out to Him and He answered. But He always does.

It is in our weakness that HE is strong!
God bless you and keep you strong!

The will of God will never lead you, where the grace of God cannot keep you.
