In a twinkling of an eye

Open my ears,  “Break the Seal”
hear His voice,  “The Thunder peals”
Open my eyes,  “Break the Seal”
Heaven opened, Light revealed
Open my mind, “Break the Seal”
Lord my God!  You are my shield
Open my Heart,  “Break the Seal”
Despise not what’s concealed
Open my Soul,  “Break the Seal”
Hidden manna, Heaven’s meal
Open my Spirit,  “Break the Seal”
Remove the stone, Truth revealed
Open the veil, “Break the Seal”
Christ was broken I am healed.

I like it... I kept building momentum as the poem continued...  By the end, I was screaming in my spirit, "BREAK THE SEAL!!!!!" ...and then, Christ was broken and I am healed. Lovely.

Faces, I've not responded much to your poems [you overwhelmed me with your works at first!] but I wanted to let you know that I have read this piece not once, but three separate times.

Perhaps I see you in this one...it could very well become your "signature" poem.

Great impact, wonderful words. Who could ask for more?

Thank you!

BSC, Lighthousebob, and sunshine, Thank you all for the wonderful encouragement here, I am blessed by your words. I felt like I was the receiver on this one! Blessed because my only way to write is in Rhyme, well when I went back into the scriptures I almost fell over! I mean we are living books right? whos author is God through the Pen of the Spirit right? we are known and read by all. He seals His word (Christ) in his disciples. Yet He breaks them to become useful. He opens the mind, the heart, our eyes, our souls etc. and when I checked out the references to each I was amazed to say the least...I mean He doesn't despise a "broken and contrite heart and our opened minds take on the sheild of Faith, as we gaurd them...So much more! I moved my hand on this one and He inspired it. Besides I'm a here and now Christian and He is the same to me as He was in the past and will be. BUT HE IS THE SAME TODAY! Amen
