          GALL TO DRINK
Talk is cheap, it’s all around
Empty words making sounds
Must I hear your endless theories
I’m bored to death, I am weary.
Befriend a heart that has broke
Feed me not with words that choke.
Cold and stiff, your heart’s a stone
Leave me now to be alone.

Ever so often I need to rebuke that cold voice of lies myself...and get on to better thoughts.  Nothin' like the "Word of God."

My daughters been ill so I havent had time to read posts as well as respond as I would like to. She has alot of problems and I ask you guys to pray for her if you will. As for this poem...It's about receiving a cold word of scripture with no Spirit in it.For example; My daughters sick, I'd get the reply, "You must have sinned" or something along those lines...we've all had those kind of (what Job called) miserable comforters of which I had my fair share of. I'm sick to death of that insensitive prevailent attitude and I think Jesus hated it too. Thanks for your encouragement everyone, I hope to be back in the next few days after my daughter is better.

Faces, We've all been here at one time or another, you've written well of those "empty words" --- So sorry to hear of your daughter, thoughts and prayers are with you all, hope she is well soon.  God Bless, Bonnie

I found this poem interesting, because we all feel that way sooner or later. Poeple tend to do more talking than action. They base their life on empty words. So I can relate to your feeling on the subject.
