       Peter

He walked by the sea of Galilee as He pointed
my direction and said, "Drop your nets
and I will make you a fisher of men..."
       I said, "Lord, lead me!"
       And Jesus said, "Follow me..."

He poured a basin of water and He dressed with a towel
as I watched His body and soul wash
away grime and filth from my weary feet...
       I said, "Lord, teach me!"
       And Jesus said, "Follow me..."

He spoke with words of authority as He proclaimed
for me to come and walk upon waters
turbulently tossed in my sinking faith...
       I said, "Lord, reach me!"
       And Jesus said, "Follow me..."

He suffered Calvary's chastisement without a word
as our eyes met in humility
when I could not bare that I denied Him...
       I said, "Lord, release me!"
       And Jesus said, "Follow me..."

He died surrendering arms wide open to receive
my life committed wholly to Him
for His soul, will, and purpose in my life...
       I said, "Lord, forgive me!"
...And I picked up my cross to follow Him.

Bob,
This is a wonderful treatment. Peter can be used as an example of weakness in many respects--but in his connectedness with Jesus He became strong-  a wonderful lesson and example for us all.  Well Done friend,   David
