Let us think about a phrase,
That we've heard throughout our days
Wishing us a Day of Favor,
One which we would really savor.

"Have a BLEST day!" so we've been told,
By caring ones, us to uphold
And the same, we may have said,
(In godly paths, thy feet be led!)

But it so occurs to me
Might this fail in accuracy?
I know it's meant to wish us the best,
But in truth, aren't ALL days blessed?

Even the days, we deem as bad,
Be it tough or be it sad
It's a day of life, you see,
A blessing which the Lord gave me.

Each day itself, a blessing is,
More blessings can proceed from this
But each day's blest right from the start,
And mercies new, each day imparts.

So should we not rather say--
"Make the Best of this Blest Day"?
(For God has given it to thee,
Use it for good, to His glory!)

Thus each day's a day of Blessing,
This I know, I am not guessing
How I use this blessing free
Will show how Blest this day can be!

David; Wonderful insight and how right you are. Every day is a blest day, just being alive says it all! Beautiful wisdom put into poetic perfection! Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Thank You Bonnie, I appreciate you for asking.
To all my friends here let me say, anything I post that you can make use of or feel others would benefit from-- I would be most happy for you to use it.  I want to be a blessing- and an instrument of God to help encourage others.  God bless you all, David

David,
Once again your wisdom shines through, every day indeed is a blessing from above for it is in HIM we live and move and have our being. To GOD be the glory! And make sure to have a Blest Day!

David thank you for this poem. It so beautifully affirms the thought "great is your faithfulness, morning by morning new mercies I see."

This is beautiful and how much better life would be if all peoples believed that each new day IS a gift from God, and what becomes of it depends on each individual.  Linda

David,
It's so true. I was taken to a place of thankfulness when I read your piece.
Tis truely a blest work. Keep that open sensitive track that your heart and mind runs on open unto the Lord! Bless you,
