"Wanna help a drowning person today? Toss them
a life preserver - tell them about Jesus!

Let me be a lifeguard, Lord
Do the best I can
Be mindful of the hurt and pain
Extend a helping hand

Stand me on the shores of life
Awaiting one in need
To help a drwning person
in sin and daily strife
Toss them a life preserver
The Preserver called Jesus Christ!

I've got jobs for Lifeguards at my Lighthouse...  The Life Preserver is being tossed out there to everyone who wants to catch it and be saved.   Bob <><

Thank you all for reading and responding.
Bob, that was a perfect reply  , sounds to me like you or someone could come up with a poem for that one. lol

I was reading a devotional and I saw the sub-topic statement, thought how neat!

In all honesty, I enjoy reading all your poems, if it were up to me, I am satisfied not posting poems but being uplifted by you, the  real poets.    I do enjoy each of your work, with praises for Jesus and the love you show through your poetry. It is very uplifting. Thank you.  Marcy

Marcy, I could hardly imagine this Spiritual forum without you always smiling encouragment to everyone and sharing your inspiration in posts.  I love reading others, too, but we all have something to give, too.  WhtDove and I had a conversation about offering Jesus, the lifesaver, to the drowning some years ago so this really hit home.  Thank you.

Can't say I remember that conversation.
But I sure liked this poem

Thanks Marcy for being there with your inspiration for all of us!

Dear Marcy,
This a lovely poem from one who so emphasizes Jesus in everything she does-You appear to me already to be a Lifeguard for Jesus-always on call-to uplift them, by sharing him.  Keep writing & reading, my friend,  David
