They thought they
could destroy me
with their guns;
thought they could
obliterated me,
now they're stunned.

They've poured every
form of violence
upon the plain of
my bosom,
in vain attempts to elicit pain.

In unmarked graves
strewn across the bleak
terrain of their brains
are buried the remains
of countless bodies
covered with the earth's skirt.

They've buried the bodies
of the martyrs without fanfare,
feeding some to the creatures
of the air and others to
the fish of the sea and still;
they are nothing with out me!

I've revealed myself to them
in the glory of forms and the
raging of storms, yet they vainly
seek and  maintain
a facade buoyed upon strings
of ten thousand instruments.

But who could hide or conceal
that which is ordained and duly meant
to be?
Fools in their impunity!

They imagined that they could
quantify me with mere chords
of words; ignorant of their lies
they look but do not see
that I exist in every sunrise
and upon the face of every born
called new.
They experience gravity
but haven't a clue
that I'm the very glue
that holds this planet in its orbit.!

They desecrate my name
upon billboards and in cheap seamy
hotels, hoping that none would see
and that if they did, they wouldn't tell
what things they've said in my name.

My name!
My name!
My name!
My Name is LOVE,
and I AM the greatest.

Beware!

WOW! This poem captured me from beginning to end. It is amazing how blind men can be.
The flow and beauty of words here are stunning. Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Yeshu,
Wonderful job putting this piece on paper.
Very captivating! "they look but do not see"; "they experience gravity but haven't a clue that I'm the very glue";  Excellent.

Alle'cram, thanks for reading and responding.   I simply speak truths mostly already known but sometimes forgotten.  Hope you have a good day.

I really like your style! A hard but truthful fact you speak. Straight forward.
Gives one much to think about. Great way of bringing rememberance of things forgotten

As I read this, Jesus' words,"I never knew you." kept coming to mind.  Where He says in the last days some will call,"Lord, Lord", because they really were never followers or respecters of His lordship.  Great work.

Whtdove, glad you find my style good enough to like, and also that you could garner some truths from here.  Thank you for reading and commenting.

Saandgrain, as I read your comment my own life flashed before me and I wondered which group I will wind up in.  Thanks, that made me think..
Love always.
