What is this Blood?

We often hear the Word
teaching us the Blood
do we really understand?
We are taught that
the Blood was shed
if only for, individually.

We are instructed
to put ourselves under
and depend on the Blood.
The Blood of the Lamb
of which we speak
can we comprehend?

The blood of our bodies
has a joint purpose
two roles it fulfills.
First, it washes
cleanses our cells
takes away impurities.

Secondly our bodies blood
brings nourishment
to each and every cell.
The physical purpose
or role of our blood
is to clean and feed.

Selah, how much more so
is the Blood of the Lamb
to fulfill these two goals?
His Blood shed for each
to cleanse us, to feed us
do we really understand?

from his arm,
Captain!"

Wonderful analogy! To clense and to feed!
I love the way you've written this! Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Hi Dan,
Never thought about it from this point of view, our blood. Good food for thought and meditation. Nice job on this one.

Well David said it before I did, the Life is in the Blood! Excellent work! You sure bring things into different perspectives. A new way of looking at something.

I really enjoy reading your work!
