Your Love

I can not, will not,
try to explain.
The grief in my heart,
the depth of my pain.
Tear drops flowing down my face,
Surviving each day,
by Gods wondrous grace.

Your Love

Embraced my heart,
followed me there.
Reached out your hand,
showed me you care.
Called out to the night,
whispered my name.
Held fast to my soul,
your love did remain.

Such beautiful expression.  We survive each day but by God's grace.  such wonderful grace.  You hit the nail right on the head.  Held fast to my soul - what a wonderful statement.  He never will leave us out in the cold even if we attempt to leave Him.  Wonderfully writtten and expressed.  Awesome work.

Dolly; This is so beautiful! "Embraced my heart", You have written such an inspiring poem, so lovely. Ellie

I too know this kind of pain, and HE does keep us walking by faith.

Hey looks like you've found a home. Very nice write it, makes me sad to think of all the terrible things you've had to endure,
but endured you have. I started a poem last night about dad/mom/alchol and shattered
plates smashed against the wall but just wasn't up to traveling those dark roads of
pain but I know you suffered most of all.

well done little sister

Nothing...... can seperate us from His Love.  Yes, even during our most grievous times, His Love still remains true.  A very nice read.   Bob <><

I want to thank all of you for taking the time to read my poem. Sunshine, Musicmaker, Ellie, Lighthousebob, and Septsong....thanks for your kind and encouraging words.

Forrest......what can I say? You do know more than anyone else. I did endure a lot, but I wouldn't change a thing. I just pray that God uses what happened in my early life to help others that may face what I had to endure. To be an example of God's unfailing love.

Dolly, How well you have captured His very essence. Reading this, and then Forrest's reply brought a tear to my eye, seems many of us have been there, how lucky you are that you have such a great big brother and deep faith. Beautiful poem, such inspiration.  Bonnie

How well you've described how steadfast His love is for us! I'm sorry to hear you went through so much. But I'm glad to see how you've come through it all. Your faith does shine, and may it keep it shining.

I went through something similuar, with a husband and alcohol. God continue to bless you as you reach out

I really liked your poem Dolly. It is so true and I know like you that without God in our lives we have nothing.

Even though you have had a lot of sorrow and pain in your life you share your love with all.

When I was lost you helped me find my way back. God used your love and compassion to show me love heals all. Your Love and understanding toward others is a testimony of your love for God.

Now if you could only cook I would come and see you more often.

Your loving hungry brother,
James

This makes me want to ask that ever lingering question. Why? WHy they who believe and walk in the light?  But we all know the answer to that one from our own experiences.  I'm encouraged by this.  Thanks

Thank-you, All`cram, BSC and WhtDove for reading my poem. Yes, BSC-Forrest is a wonderful big brother, as is James (Eldridge). When I was a little girl I can remember one time it got so bad I was going to run away. Forrest told me he would run away with me. Forrest, my sister and I packed bread and water and off we went. I was so little I didn't realize we really was only several hundred yards from the house, but that was far enough for me. Forrest busied himself making me a princess bed, because he said I needed to rest.Once I awakened he took me back home. I'll never forget that princess bed as long as I live. Thank-you Forrest for caring for me and loving me. Thank-you for the princess bed. BTW...Carol told me when you made that for me it made her jealous.

WhtDove: Isn't it wonderful to know when we think we're all alone our Heavenly Father carries us when we can no longer walk?

Eddie (James--Eldridge) Your words made me cry. It's not always easy loving everyone, but if God can love us no matter what, the least we can do is try to love in the same way. The time you lived with me is another time in my life I will never forget.

Hey, talk about my cooking!?!?! I had to make it terrible, because you ate like a pig even though it was terrible. If it was any better there wouldn't have been any left for the rest of us.

YeshuJah Malikk (*WHEW* I'm glad I don't have to try to pronounce that) In a perfect world nothing would have happened, but this isn't a perfect world. The things from my past that I've endured has molded me into the person I am today. My faults are many, but I do love with my whole heart.

Thanks again to all of you that responded. Gosh, here I am crying as I type this. If there's a lot of spelling errors it's Forrest's fault.....Need I say more?
