I awoke this morning
feelin happy.
A deep down, warm,
pervading
happiness.
As You are always
my first thought
of the day,
I knew it was a gift,
and I thanked You.

Then I sat in my
garden
to write this poem,
amongst all this
delicious beauty,
and I thanked You.

The windchimes
are singing
and so is my heart.
< !signature-->

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

I understand this feeling and expression!  It's an expression beyond what words can describe.  "If a picture's worth a thousand words, then it won't help me at all"  are lyrics by Petra in a song called More Than A Thousand Words, and I imagine from reading this poem, the sense I got, was no words could relaly describe how you felt at that moment.  Well done Ellie.  Keep your heart close to God and you will have the words!
Sheri.

Ellie,
What wonderful personal peace and joy you possess, as your poem only begins to suggest to us.  Oh by the way, for Dennis' sake I hope is was your Butterfly windchimes which were so beautifully sounding in your Garden of God's Love.   David

Oh Ellie this is sooooo beautiful.  How precious the morning when all is so serene, when the garden is just waking, and those windchimes are saying hello .... Where's the vote button??????  Bonnie

Thank you for sharing your love for Christ and your early morning garden experiences.  What a lovely garden this must be where the wind chimes sing out His praise.  Bob <><

What a lovely garden you must have...a garden that is so lucky to have such a wonderful soul get lost in her beauty.

You can never have too much fiction; reality can be such a bore
