The heavens show your glory
The seas resound your power
Your gentleness is shown us
In petals of a flower

Thunder emanates your voice
And you cleanse us as the rain
Done it all you have in love
On a cross, you hung in pain

And you did it all by choice
Love is what had held you there
Miracles weren't used to help
You suffered to draw us near

As the skies turned to blackness
And the earth started to quake
It's then you gave your spirit
All done for your children's sake

You're strong but yet you're loving
You've endured all we go through
A most compassionate God
Who's given us life anew

If even for a moment
We could comprehend your love
The height, width and depth of it
We would know complete, true love

I know that you get angry
But your love out weighs it all
For you are so forgiving
When we stumble and we fall

Beck, This so awesome and incredibly beautiful! Why didn't you mark it for the book? Please go back and do that. This is too powerful and inspiring not to be in the book. Love, Ellie
"Your gentleness is shown us in petals of a flower". I love this line!

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Yes, I am here, but I am dead, not alive,
my body goes on, my spirit has died
and I though alive, feel dead inside.

You've explored all corners of our understanding to show the awesomeness of our God.  Absolutely beautiful!  I, too, would like this to be a book submission.

How one so unworthy as I could even begin to be loved by such an awesome God is beyond me, but His love does surpass all understanding. I especially liked the part,
"And you did it all by choice
Love is what had held you there"

Isn't His Love Amazing!?!?!

Thank you Serenity!

Ellie thank you so much!! I didn't mark this for the book because I have a few going already. Heck if I post everything I have for the book, then what will I post next time

Thank you DA! I think I'll wait for the next one to come around thank you

Bob thank you! It is winning someone over to Christ that covers a mulitude of sin    I'm glad you could be reminded.

Your so right Sunshine. It sure is beyond our comprehension.

Mom thank you! I did try to get that across, and I'm glad if I did.

Pasqually it sure is! We are all unworthy, but thank God for His grace   Thank you!

LoveBug thank you for taking the time to read and reply

Just as your nature is, so are your poems.  Gentle, poised and well taken care of.  A great anthem to God's greatness.  A true friend to people and a true friend to God.  Sheri.

Sheri thank you for such a sweet compliment

He sure is Denise!

Bonnie thank you! I think someday we might just actually comprehend that. When once again we're with him

Thank you Marcie! I don't think we grasp 1/10th of the true depth of it.
