God is Here with Me

Freezing in distance
trying to cope
seeing where to turn

God is here with me
as Satan stabs
and tries to wound

I'm building a wall
for protection
praying it's strong

I try so hard to see
as his blindness
drives him around

Left to fight the battle
God as my guide
holding together my mind

  Your poem touchingly tells of the spiritual conflict that we all must face in our lives. Thank od for a God who is there for us- and loves us, and guides us, and protects us, and accepts us.  "If God be for us who can be agaionst us?"

A dear friend once told me to give up the battle and leave it all to God to fight. I did, and it was soon over, once I let go.
Your poem is wonderful. I want to thank you for you wonderful reply to my Authorian poem in the pub...next installment tomorrow!

I know I was stuck in this rut for a while. Try not to build that wall if you can help it. For God is your protecting wall! This was so very well written Gloria!
