can I find you
in the sand

would you steal my breath

would you be my man

will an angel
with thick wings
push me to you

just to hear you sing

songs that have drowned
in layers of time
you and
warm white walls
we don't need to rhyme

words just fall
between me and you
like angels
fallen to the dew

of a new day
in new air

my feet penetrate the sand
still alone

will you be there?

Look into your heart, Jennie, and you will find Him there...

jenny; listen to Sunshine...she's right! Beautiful poem. Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

I know you don't have critique on here. But seeing as how you posted it for the book, I would like to point out, that this stanza isn't making much sense to me.

songs that have drowned
in layers of time
you and
warm white walls
we don't need to rhyme

This stanza is beautiful

words just fall
between me and you
like angels
fallen to the dew

I stood on the beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean this weekend and let me say that the Ocean is a most serene place to be alone with God.
