A soft summer breeze was blowing,
The sun was just starting to rise,
As we got the news that you left us,
And tears freely flowed from our eyes.

Oh, I know that you're in a better place,
Now your laughter's a song to God's ear,
And I'm sure He's embracing you tenderly,
But it's hard not to wish you still here.

You're now standing with our Father,
A glorious angel in white,
So peaceful in your loving new home,
No longer facing a fight.

There's a new star in heaven this evening
Tonight it's the brightest we'll see,
And though tears are welling in our eyes,
With wings spread, you are now flying free.

I'm sure the angels were singing,
As they welcomed you into their fold,
And God's love is now embracing you,
As you have taken His hand to hold.

You've gotten your gossamer feathers,
A golden halo adorning your head,
Violets cushion your every step,
Down the path that you are now led.

Whispers of gentle music,
As you soar through heaven's sky,
Another beautiful angel,
Safe under God's watchful eye.

Godspeed Lorraine, You will always be missed.

In Loving Memory of my dear friend.

Ah my dear, what a beautiful and lovely tribute to your friend. She hears these words, and it has truly filled her heart. She did not go wrong with having you as a friend.

Someday I hope I will have a friend who will write for me such as you have written for her.

Blessings,

Sunshine

Dearest Bonnie; I'm so truly sorry for your loss, and I too feel as Sunshine does, she was so blessed to have you as friend. A better friend she could never find.
Love,

You've written a beautiful piece for her. I'm sure it brought a big smile to her!
She is in a better place, though we still miss them dearly.

The poem reminds me of my mother's and uncle's death not long ago. Condolences on your loss, I know how you feel. The poem was very beautiful and emotional.. Thank you for sharing it.

I'm sorry for your pain. It hurts. She was very blessed to have a friend like you. Might I suggest sending her closest relative a copy of this loving tribute to her. It will bless them too.
