Dear Jesus, my Lord I come to you, On my knees I pray For your help and guidance To prepare for tomorrows day Let my mouth speak your words of truth My ears the listening kind My heart and soul full of the guiding spirit My thoughts good and kind May I remember those Who have needs greater than mine Be selfless and generous Put my wants aside this time I pray for a forgiving heart To any who do me wrong And let me gird myself with your armor If the evil foe happens along I pray to keep my mind on you Lest I should lose my way Let me be a guardian angel To someone you choose today May I be patient and accepting Not to question your will I might not understand it now But in your time I will Let be an example for you With my life today Let me be a guiding light for you To show them you’re the way. Amen |

Geo; What a wonderful prayer. I echo this prayer for the day too. You captured the Lord's will for each of us so perfectly. It sounds like an angel was whispering in your ear as you wrote. George I love this from start to finish! My favorite lines are... I pray to keep my mind on you Lest I should lose my way Let me be a guardian angel To someone you choose today I've been praying those first 2 lines. I need to keep my eyes on Him ALL the time. Very inspirational, very helpful. I'm sure there is part of this special poem that someone at one time or another has prayed. Excellent job! |
