What are the values men cherish most?
What is it that really matters?
What is it that truly enriches?
Instead of vain thoughts that but flatter?

Who is it to whom we can turn
And find the true answers weneed,
That can be truly life-changing
If we will but give them heed?

And where can we find shelter
To isolate us from life's harms,
When the joys of life have faded
And the world has lost it's charm?

Are there true answers for these:
The What, the Who, and the Where's,
To discover life's most precious treasures
And to free us from Life's cripp'ling cares?

Oh yes, the answers are givewn
And they truly do exist,
And are within our reaching
To bring out in us the best.

Through FAITH in God's Word we have access
To life's most noble things,
For it shares with us True Riches
Uplifting the soul in it's wings.

The LORD, up above we can go to
The kindest, most compassionate Friend,
Who calls through the Word to come
An unearthly Peace to send.

The WHERE is to the Arm's of God's Grace
Which by Faith in Christ we embrace,
Now in Heavenly Kingdom we're placed
Soon to me Him so, face to face!

"GOD GIVES- but man must open his hand." (German Proverb)

David; I love this line..."The kindest, most compassionate friend". I feel so peaceful sitting here reading your poem. You gave me a wonderful start off for the day and so, I thank you for these encouraging words of faith. Ellie

 Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

David - This is so beautiful, with such a wonderful message.  The Who, What and Where are right there with us all of the time.  This is great.  Bonnie

Hi David, I too found great comfort in your poem. It speaks the word of truth and where our true treasures can be found. Look to Him for all things.  Just beautiful.  Marcy

You have directed my thirsty soul to an
oasis in the desert. The Word to come does send to us an unearthly Peace. Thank you for a sip of Heaven on earth.

David,
Yes we all need direction,
We sometimes stray off the course,
You answer these questions so well,
WE go to GODS WORD, of course!

Excellent reminder for us all!
