I thank God for friends
who stand for me true,
Even when my weakness
and imperfections shine
though.
And those who are honest
and level with me,
And point out the things
they think I should see.

I found long ago,
I need help sincere,
And because that is true,
I'm so glad you are near.
Not geographically--
but heart to heart,
And as a true friend,
you play a great part.

When I consider
our having met so,
It seems providential,
although this I don't know.
For it's been beneficial,
blessing me much,
May we mutually find
a True Friendship's touch!

To have friends you must first show yourself to be a friend, and this you have done over and over again with your kind and thoughtful words to others and by sharing your unique perspectives with us here. May GOD continue to bless you my brother.
