Vain Visions

God does get angry
It's written it's told
At those who will lie
To His sheep in His fold

False teachers among us
That see visions vain
Use untempered morter
To whitewash your brain

Lying divinations
That are NOT from Me
All these vain visions
You claim that you see

It's from their own spirit
God said It's not mine
For I didn't send you
That's not my design

You make these coverings
That I will tear down
You're making promises
Upon which I frown

You save souls alive
That should not live
Making such promises
That aren't yours to give

You're covering truth
Teaching souls to fly
With your vain visions
To MY people you lie

Fly to escape judgement
That's not what I taught
It's from your vain thinking
From your lying thought

I shall tear them away
From your arms I shall take
The souls that you hunted
And the lies that you make

The walls I'll tear down
In MY fury and wrath
And all those that daubed it
That have chosen that path

Taken from Ezekiel 13

Dear Rebecca; A very strong message that needs to be said. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light and Jesus wants us to walk in His light and discernment and truth. I hear you and thanks for putting this in such beautiful verse. Ellie

Becca,

Great poem.  What is really funny is that I was reading this yesterday...Ezekiel that is.  I was reading in Isaiah and Ezekiel, doing a topical study and finding different scriptures and came accross the prophecy that you have written of.  I was like this sounds really familiar then when I got to the end...it hit me.  Kind of funny huh.
Really good job on the poem.  Hey I just posted a luv poem for the joust in #8.  check in and let me hear what ya think.  You also haven't read Patrick yet.  Just a reminder

Luv ya,

Bran

WhtDove, Wow! What a powerful poem and with truth as from the word. Scriptures are provided in the Word to know false prophets as well as disernment. Very powerful poem and well written.   Marcy

Rose so true, we should always double check with God's word! Thank you.

Took a while   Thanks Sunshine!

Ellie that is the truth. It is stated as transforms himself. It is actually disguise as you state! Good work

Brandon, I saw that poem (SIGH!) and I read your prose too
It's funny how that happens isn't it? I've done that many a time. Having just read something and then a day later or so hear someone talking about it or something. Could be a reason we were just there
Thank you!

Marcy, you shall know them by their fruits. Scriptural it is. The whitewashing though is the covering of the truth. And there was one thing in general referred to here. The "rapture" that's so widely taught. That's what this teaching the souls to 'fly' is all about. Telling them they'll not be here and will escape the judgement. This is not true, they will be here.

I know it's not very lighthearted, but I think people need to see the other part too. Not just the sweet Jesus. But He gets angry and mad also. Tho' his anger is righteous indignation. There are warnings throughout, and sometimes I just try to make people aware of those.
