Why do I feel so alive
as if I slept
the sleep of the
Angels?
When in reality,
I was awake all
night.

Could it be
because
You let me
feel Your embrace,
my Lord?
When desert dryness
I tred so long.
An embrace filled
with Your promises
fulfilled,
and promises yet
to keep,
that have filled
my soul
with the hope
of Your promise,
that awakens my heart
to the wonder
and joy
of Your Love that
fills me
with new life.

I love and appreciate you, ellie. Oh, how how the Lord uses you to bless others through your humble and loving heart with God given gifts of poetry. Humility of heart, a treasure to behold. You display and write the very words of truth ,love and give us a beautiful light to look upon. With a humble heart, I thank you for you and how your poems minister to me.

Ellie this is wonderful! I love the dry desert line! His love was wrapped around you giving the rest your 'soul' needed.
