Of all the creatures God has made
I'm glad God made me a man,
To think that I could have been a rat
A mosquito, a gnat or some sand.

I could not possess life at all
I could be a rock, or lifeless shell,
I could have been most anything
But for me, better things You tell.

A fish, a bird, a poisonous snake
All draw their breath from Thee,
But I knew the breath of Life
A living Soul to be.

A camel , bat or a possum
All call this planet their home,
But You made me none of these
To be, for my earthly roam.

A bee to help make a swarm
Or a solitary crane,
When Your powers formed me
That's not what I became.

Of a thousand, million species
All proceeding from your hand,
Dear LORD, I am so grateful
That You chose to make me a man!

David, I never thought of it this way! You have reminded me to be more thankful that we are who we are!

Cause I know bugs in my house get mushed if I can get to them
