TO THE VICTORY I LONG TO WIN

We all have our own troubles
and problems to bare in life
the devil creeps in at weak moments
to bring us misery and strife

Yet our hearts belong to Jesus
so each day we cry out for his help
we do battle on a daily basis
for his love is always felt

Still my will conflicts with your will
and I try to change the pathway for me
depression,ill-health,lack of confidence
are all things the devil sees

Then instead of picking myself up
through fast and earnest prayer
I find what makes me comfortable
robbing my Lord of His true share

I love you Jesus Christ
this in my heart I know you see
but love is not enough I know
for the kingdom you offer me

I know that I am your vessel
designed with purpose and plan
that you will mold into a likeness
of your own holy hand

So Father I stand before you today
saying "Jesus I am ready to try again"
break this will within me
help me to surrender so I may begin

To do thy work once again
with abundant love and care
to use the dreams we created at night
so others may see in you there is no fear

Humbly I tell you
I have robbed Jesus who I love the most
by settling for less then He gives
through His Spirit the Holy Ghost

Now once again today I vow
that my eyes will rest on Him
and I will pray that He will guide me
To The Victory I Long To Win

Dear Rose Mary; Oh, this is so wonderful! He is a jealous God, our saviour Jesus, and He will have nothing less than ALL of our life and will. But I know your struggle, as if I wrote every word with you. That is why your poem and all of our love and encouragement here is so vital. Thank you dear sister in Christ for your beautifully encouraging words this day. I don't feel so alone in the struggles and in the sweet surrender. Love, Ellie

Rose Marie; Your loving prayer to Jesus is my prayer too. There is no stronger love than He gives. Oh, how you bless me sister and know that I love you in Christ Jesus, amen.     marcy

The prayer is beautiful - for those who still have trust, Rose. But....
Search not! For, were you to ever find,
The fruit of love or even its scattered rind,
It would be only if He wanted it so!!
Ah! Could I but believe He were so kind!

Rose Mary,
Your prayer and submission in yielding to divine will- is surely an fitting example of the Beauty of Holiness.  And I, for one Do believe He is so kind, as I am sure you do too.    David

As I tell my Sunday school children, "There aint nothin' better than Jesus!"
Get a good firm hold of that dream that Jesus has given to you and hang on to it as God brings it to life in your life...

A beautiful prayer we each need to pray, as we all fall short.  Thank you for sharing this.
