I'm dreaming of a Time
When free from Racial hatred and Pride,
Where mankind can live as one
As equals side by side.

I'm envisioning a Place
Where pollution's a thing of the past,
Where all can easier breathe
And no need for the doctors to ask.

I'm dreaming of a beautiful scene
Of a fountian and trees and a park,
And one that is so well lit
None shall have to fear for the dark.

In visions I see a vista
Where none are pressed for time,
Where things work out so perfectly
There is no need for cryin'.

Are such dreams new with me?
No, for such man has yearned for years,
And yet no solutions  have come
To quench all our dread and fears.

Should I then stop dreaming
Of things as they should be?
Are these just some worn out wishes
For things here we shall ne'er see?

Don't tell me to stop daydreaming
"Get real, and don't go insane!"
For these dreams shall have their fulfillment--
It's of God, "Heaven" is it's name!

Wonderful sentiments Deleeme ... if only we could have "Heaven" on earth, what a pleasant journey this part would be.  Do not stop dreaming ...

Best wishes,
/Kit

That is certainly a beautiful dream, and it is my dream too. I am doing my small part to clean up the little corner of the world God has put me in. It is a cooperative effort which on earth is like painting the Umpire State Building, which you think you're finished you have it all over to do over again. Glad Heaven won't be like that. Praise the LORD!  No one will litter and pollute up there, nor ruin our peace of mind.

Dear David; Wonderful poem and beautifully written as usual. Sometimes He does give us a piece of heaven on earth. It's simply a matter of an "attitude of gratitude"!
The littlest things focused on can be the center of our day. A smile from a friend is sometimes enough! So here goes ((((SMILE)))))
Love ya, good buddy, Ellie

Oh how I've thought of those days too! When He returns it shall be as it should. No more pain and suffering. I can only try to imagine what beauty there is. I understand this earth is like a negative compared to what Heaven is, untouched by man and his mistakes.  Thank you David

I believe it is the dream of every true Christian, you describe in your flowing verse.  We must hold on to and share this dream of what God has promised always.  Thank you for reminding us.

This is a beautiful description of Heaven. I really believe that this is how it's going to be!

We seek to find a perfect world
A time machine that's fast
Riding back into the future
Or into the future's past
Whichever way, whichever day
It's not the perfect world
Until you plod the steps of God
And Heaven is unfurled

I like your words
