While God Stood Watch
~*Marge Tindal*~

While God was keeping watch,
I fell in love with you.
The kind of love that is blessed,
when another just won't do.

To share your love with me
is a blessing, indeed.
I found the love for you
in my hour of need.

How wonderful to know
you feel the same as I do.
Thank you for the love you've given,
I return it to you.

God smiled in knowing,
the love that's shared among friends
is the greatest love given
with His blessings to the end.

God keeps perfect time doesn't he?! He knows our needs before we even ask! Even knows how to make a marriage last. Wonderful poem as usual.

Marge, "God smiled in knowing,
the love that's shared among friends"

Your poem made me stop and think. Love is the answer, taught from the Word. With love comes emotions from us.....but, also God has emotions...."God smiled". Made me warm all over. Thank you for this one. Marcy

SeptSong~
Yes, it would appear that He does know our every need.  Thanks, hon.

Ellie~
Have read your sonnet with great delight.
Glad you enjoyed my thoughts also.

Marcy~
Thank you for your perception of this piece.
I DO believe that He would just have to smile at knowing when He has made us happy.
We all just have to remember to tell Him how much we appreciate what He does for us.

Too often there are those who never think of His name unless they are crying out for help ... my Grandmother called them the ~gimmee-gimmee's~.
She taught me to start off everyday thanking Him for three things,
before I asked for another.
Thanks, Marcy.
God bless your day.

Marge, as usual this is a lovely poem of love and points to the truth that a truly blest marriage involve 3, not 2.

Oh Marge, this is wonderful! We have so much to thank God for....
Well, let me start by thanking God for Marge's frienship: Thank you God for blessing me with Marge as a friend.
Love ya Marge.
