When You Cry Alone

Somewhere,
in all the vast void we call space,
in the wonders of our universe
in everything we know and believe,
in the very molecules of our being,
in our souls,
there exists an infinite love,
wisdom,
beauty and compassion,
beyond all understanding.
We call it God.
And when all is over,
you're at your lowest,
comprehension is gone,
nothing exist but the ache in your breast;
when all you lived for has faded,
the fullness of life is unfathomable empty,
and the world you loved has exploded,
scattering chunks of your soul
though out the universe;
when living is unbearable,
time has stopped,
you life has come to an end…
when all is said,
and done,
and you cry alone,
in the dark…
then turn to God,
and find a friend.

W. James Beard, Jr.

I could be verbose, but saying "absolutely wonderful" says it all.  Well done!

James,
  Just beautiful! Reminds me of trials, bearing some alone, yet when I call out to Him in desperation, He pulls us in and comforts us. Wonderful message. Marcy

James; this remarkable and so inspiring. In the end it's only God and our selves alone. You expressed it so wonderfully. Ellie

This is a beautiful poem, and so true. It's wonderful to know that God is always with us.

This was totally AWESOME! I love it.

I love the line...
and the world you loved has exploded,
scattering chunks of you soul
though out the universe;

But I love every descriptive line! Fantastic work!!!

JWesley~
Enjoyed this very much.

I've cried in solitude ...
but never alone ...
for He has always been with me.
I'm blessed with knowing that
He's always here for me ...
and with me.

Wow James that was wonderful some great images.
nothing exist but the ache in your breast;
when all you lived for has faded,
the fullness of life is unfathomable empty,
and the world you loved has exploded,
scattering chunks of your soul
though out the universe;

I believe there is a balance for all the pain there is fortune and love and visa versa.One could not survive without the other, to love someone must be able feel negative emotions as well. Every problem is life should be viewed as a challenge that makes you stronger.
